Song of the day: The Cars- Drive

the-cars-drive-1984-13

Another biggest hit by a band which I don’t know for more songs than just this one. It was a big hit just after the release, but it was used by Live Aid, too, as song under some videos. And guess what? Again a big hit. No surprise, because the song is very good. The music matches the text, and the total picture is just right! So for today, enjoy

Song of the day: Billy Idol- Hot In The City

Billy_Idol-Greatest_Hits-Frontal

The song of the day has two different music videos, from which the second had a bit of resistence, since it showed his girlfriend nailed to a cross.
However, the song is very good, and that is what matters! To me, at least.

For the people to who the video does matter: the link goes to a video with only music.

Yes, it’s Hot in the City! And that’s not my city: I call 15 C not hot…

Song of the day: Little Richard- Good Golly Miss Molly

Hello there,

I made a little mistake yesterday, since the song wasn´t aa rock ´n roll song. However, I´ve got some rock ´n roll for you today.
It´s a well known artist in the rock ´n roll, and he is not too big in size…

It´s Little Richard with Good Golly Miss Molly!
Oh, and watch the complete video. It´s a nice `story´.

Tomorrow more rock ´n roll!

Song of the day: Enya- Orinoco Flow

Hello to everybody,

Today the song of the day is a relaxed song. That is because I’m quite relaxed, too.
The song of the day is beautiful, and the video that goes with this song is beautiful, too.
The song is about a river, which is around the 1000 kilometers long!

I will now release which song is the song of the day: Orinoco Flow, made by Enya.

I absolutely love this song, and I hope you do, too.

Tomorrow another song!

Song of the day: Nik Kershaw- The Riddle

Hello everyone,

Today it’s a bit of a puzzle which song is the song of the day…
But I will just say it! Nik Kershaw with The Riddle.
And if he gets out of the house he’s in, I leave it up to you…

(You have to watch the video to get that one)

Song of the day: MC Hammer- U Can’t Touch This

Hello everyone,

Today I’ve got special dance moves for you! And that in a clip from the nineties.
Together with a nice song, it makes MC Hammer with U Can’t Touch This.

I’ve not got a lot to say about him or this song, so this is it for today!
(I will find some information, but I’ve got to look it up)

Song of the day: Di-Rect – Still Life

Hello everyone,

Here’s the new song of the day.
The song of today is made by a Dutch band, who are helped by Coldplay to get some fame in other countries.
It’s Di-Rect, with Still Life.

The video is quite special, since it’s a stop motion video with over 3000 photographs!
In total, the video took over 32 hours of making photographs, acting and posing.

And the video is beautiful! It’s about a woman, whose senses are playing a big role.

I wish you a lot of fun with it!

Song of the day: Genesis- Jesus He Knows Me

Hello everybody!!!

Here’s another song of the day, with a nice clip!
The song is made by Genesis, a music group which is active since the sixties, and it was active until 2010.
And… wait! In Genesis, there was an artist we already know! Peter Gabriel, from the stopmotion video of Sledgehammer!
That’s nice, isn’t it?

Well, tomorrow.. Oh wait! I forgot the song! The song of the day is Jesus He Knows Me.
It’s one of the later songs of Genesis, from 1992.

Tomorrow a new song, and since the weather is so bad, it’s going to rain!

“Huh?? What does he mean?”
“How am I supposed to know that? He’s so cryptic, I mostly don’t know what song is the song of the day!”

Song of the day: Peter Gabriel- Steam

Hello everyone,

I’ve got another stunning video and song for you…

The new song of the day is made by Peter Gabriel. In one of my first songs of the day, Peter Gabriel was song of the day with Sledgehammer.Sledgehammer is an amazing clip, but Steam, another song, has that as well.

Listen, watch, and have fun!!!

Song of the day: Peter Gabriel- Sledgehammer

Hello everyone,

Today’s song of the day is a good song, but even better is the music video with it. It’s made with the stop-motion technique, which creates a very special effect.

It’s the best known stop-motion video, it’s Peter Gabriel with Sledgehammer!

I like this song very much, but admire the video. I think it’s better than having some almost naked girls dancing around: It’s just not original!

This is, and I hope we’ll see more of these original and beautiful video’s the coming years, because I’m tired of all those almost naked girls.

Tomorrow a new song!
