Song of the day: Fleetwood Mac- Don’t Stop

Probably you’ve already recognized the album on which the song of the day is. Yes, it’s a single from the hit album Rumours by Fleetwood Mac. This song was written by Christine McVie, and she sung on it with Lindsey Buckingham, the guitarist of the band. In the US the song peaked at 3, in the UK the song followed Go Your Own Way and peaked at number 32. The song is about the feelings of Christine after she seperated from John McVie. Enjoy

Music Documentary 7: About Fleetwood Mac

I was looking into the TV guide to see what was featured tonight on the Dutch TV (as usual, not much which was interesting to watch) and I saw that they would do a re-run of the Fleetwood Mac documentary I saw last year. It’s a documentary about the great album Rumours of Fleetwood Mac. It’s part of the Classic Albums series, which is of course by itself a success and great! I have to see if they are available on DVD, since they are very interesting…

This documentary shows how strange the album Rumours is. As you probably know, Fleetwood Mac was a band where there were two couples, but they both were divorcing and the songs they wrote for each other were about how difficult the time was. Ironic is that the persons singing the songs were singing about themselves…

Luckily I found the documentary online, so if you’ve got a spare hour:Fleetwood Mac- Rumours
