Song of the day: The Pointer Sisters- Jump! (For My Love)
Yes, this is one of the best studio albums by the Pointer Sisters! Okay, we only have one, but still…
One of the tracks on the album is Automatic, a very good song, but not the song of the day.
The song of the day is a song which is a happy song. I can’t think of a better description. Or, well:It has to do something with the Olympic games of 1984.
It’s Jump (For My Love)!
And this song was originally called Jump, the rest of the title was placed after it when the song got confused with Jump from Van Halen.
Song of the day: Midnight Oil- Beds Are Burning
Hey there,
I’m looking out of my window and guess what? Yes, it’s snowing again.
Although it is snowing, I will not put in a summer song. I really want something more like rock.
And I have found some record which I came across in December last year, but which is really great.
Let me introduce you: Midnight Oil with Beds Are Burning.
The song is a protestsong, and its goal was to give land back to the Pintupi, Aboriginals in Australia who used to travel around in the desert.
Well, with this song, at least I can stand the snow some better. Tomorrow a new song!
Song of the day: Handsome Poets- Sky On Fire
Hello everyone,
When I opened up my mailbox this morning, I was stunned by all the likes for the post of yesterday.
It seems like the Handsome Poets can go abroad as well, or at least that they can make it abroad.
Therefore, the new song of the day is a single which has had great success in the Netherlands in the summer, because of the use in a tv-programme during the Olympic Games.
The new song of the day is called Sky on Fire, once more by the Handsome Poets.
I would like to ask you if you could like this post, if you like the Handsome Poets as well.
It also will be the song of the week, which will be published tomorrow.
Thanks!
