Music Documentary 6: About George Harrison
Some documentaries are very good. Some are short and others are a bit longer. This documentary was long. Three and a half hours.
I saw it on TV, I think last year somewhere, and I thought it was a superb documentary. A lot of archive material, material which never was showed and new music. That’s why we watch documentaries! But not only for the exclusive material, we also want to learn something. And that was a point in which it succeeded. I didn’t know a lot about the Beatles, and the things I knew were about either Paul McCartney or John Lennon. Those are interesting persons, but if you think George Harrison was boring, you’re deadly wrong. This documentary makes you see the Beatles from a different perspective, and learns you a lot about their different stages, such as the stage in which Eastern philosophy is very important.
If you can find it anywhere on DVD, buy it! You won’t regret it, even though you don’t like the Beatles. I could not find a link, but it’s called Living In The Material World.
