FlinterFile: Twice As Much- Sitting On A Fence
In 1966, the group Twice As Much released their debut single. Writting by Keith Richards and Mick Jagger, they were given the song ‘Sittin’ On A Fence’ to record. It brought them fame in the UK, where the song peaked at number 25. The Stones later recorded the song, too, but never had it as a single and they also never played it live. The songwriting process, however, was captured on video:

Song of the day: Peter Tosh & Mick Jagger- Walk And Don’t Look Back
Peter Tosh was a member of Bob Marley & The Wailers, Mick Jagger is a member of The Rolling Stones. Together they recorded a cover version of Don’t Look Back, a Temptations song. Making it a reggae song, they had a (small) hit, depending on the country and chart you watch. I think it’s a nice song, so enjoy

The Rolling Stones
With adding the Beatles to the Hall Of Fame, I should not forget this band! Some say they are better than the Beatles, others say they aren’t. And that’s allowed. Fact is, that in the sixties, you were either fan of the Beatles or the Rolling Stones. I am both, but the conflict has died down a bit. And that’s good, because I really can’t choose. The Beatles are nice boys, making nice songs, but the Rolling Stones are a bit more rough, but also make great music! Thinking about songs as Satisfaction and my personal favourite Paint It Black, I really can’t make up my mind which band is better. They both added something to music, and the Rolling Stones are still great. Rock on, and well deserved: a place in the Hall Of Fame!
Song of the day: David Bowie & Mick Jagger- Dancing In The Street
Hello everyone,
Here’s the new song of the day. We will go on with dancing, but not on the ceiling…
Let’s go outside, onto the streets.
We’ll be dancing with Mick Jagger and David Bowie, with Dancing In The Street.
Tomorrow we will continue dancing!
Song of the day: Rolling Stones- Paint It Black
And here we go again!
The song of today is made by the band who exists 50 years this year. The year is nearly over, but I still want to make them song of the day!
I’m talking about the band with Mick Jagger, the Rolling Stones!
The trick with the Rolling Stones is that they were the “bad” guys against the Beatles, the “good” guys.
It was an idea of their producer, who first worked with the Beatles, and after that he went to the Rolling Stones. And he could make something of them, yes!
It was not a bad idea, and that’s how they became successful.
The song of the day is the song according to most fans. I like it, too. Paint it black!
Tomorrow the last song of 2012… But there are 365 other songs in 2013!
