Song of the day: Energy 52- Café Del Mar
Posted by Chris Flinterman
Saturday night! Dance night! And today it’s a song from the nineties, 1993 to be precise. The name is derived from a bar on Ibiza, of course with the same name. The song has become a dance classic, instantly recognizable and remixed many, many, many times. None of them have been as good as the original song, that is, in my eyes. Dance to and enjoy

Summer Song of the Day #4: Vengaboys- We’re Going To Ibiza
Posted by Chris Flinterman
If something is sounding like summer, it must be the Vengaboys. The name is right, but the music certainly is! They had their biggest success in the nineties with songs like the song of the day and other songs like Up And Down and We Like To Party. And this song, We’re Going To Ibiza, was one of the biggest hits. The nice thing about the song is that they did not make it themselves, or at least, they used another song from the seventies: Barbados by Typically Tropical. They changed the scene from Barbados to Ibiza and made a nice dance version of it. All very clever, because it was not only a big hit, but they have got place 4 in the Summer Song of the Day Top 20 with this song!
