Song of the day: Van Halen- Jump

Absolute eighties? And good music, too? Music which will be accepted today too? That’s a bit too difficult, but I think Van Halen has made a very good song which will last forever. Jump is one of the best songs I know, definitely a song which I don’t mind listening too for a few times. And that’s because it’s timeless. There is no label to it which puts it in a certain era, it could be made now as well, but that’s not the case. A good song for today:

Song of the day: Eric Prydz- Pjanoo

Well, how am I going to put this? Let’s say it like this: it’s good that I wrote down to make this song song of the day, otherwise it would never be song of the day. It’s a tune which I like very much, so that’s not the problem… It’s my memory. There are lots of songs I know from the first seconds, but some songs won’t stick in my mind. If I hear the song, I know that I’ve heard it before. But which name it has? Mostly I rely on the DJ to tell me, or me looking it up, since I just seem to forget… Even now I wouldn’t know which tune I’m writing about.

However, I know it’s a very good song, so please enjoy:

Song of the day: Yazz & the Plastic Population- The Only Way Is Up

Sometimes you have one sentence from a song, or a bit from a tune, sticking in your mind, but you can’t think of the artist…
That was the problem yesterday with this song. I kept hearing “The only way is up!”. Nothing more, and I thought: mmm… who was that?
Happily we have Google, so I found out that it was made by Yazz And The Plastic Population.

And it is a good song… sunny, happy, sunny and very nice to hear!

Song of the day: Whitesnake- Here I Go Again

Oeh… now things are getting hard: hard rock, metal, etc.
And those are not the things which I like very much… however, there’s a very good song on the album, and maybe it’s the best known song of the band Whitesnake.

It’s actually quite funny how I came to the decision to choose Whitesnake as song of the day. I woke up this morning, and I had a window opened a bit. Opening the curtains, I heard pieces of the song of the day, and I thought: why not?
That’s the reason for Here I Go Again to be the song of the day!

Here’s the song for today, with another nice clip!

The song of today has a simple clip, but a very good song.

And the fact that the clip is simple, makes the music better. And with this music, the clip is good as well.
What do we see? A band playing the song, and a man walking in the streets of New York.

This man is Sting, and he is, just like the song predicts, an Englishman in New York.

And I love this song. When I hear this saxophone, I want to listen to the whole song, no matter what.
