Song of the day: Spandau Ballet- True
Talking about the eighties, this was one of the characteristic groups of the eighties, with quite some hits! No wonder of course, because it’s a very good group, with very good songs. One of my favourites is the song of the day, namely Gold. It came from the album True, which itself also was a hit! But why do you like Spandau Ballet, you would ask. Maybe that’s got something to do with the sound of the songs. This one is powerful, has a nice piano piece (around 2:50), it has got nice percussion, and very important: a saxophone. Since I’m a big fan of hearing a sax in a song, songs with a saxophone have an attraction to me. So for today, let’s enjoy:

Song of the day: Eric Prydz- Pjanoo
Well, how am I going to put this? Let’s say it like this: it’s good that I wrote down to make this song song of the day, otherwise it would never be song of the day. It’s a tune which I like very much, so that’s not the problem… It’s my memory. There are lots of songs I know from the first seconds, but some songs won’t stick in my mind. If I hear the song, I know that I’ve heard it before. But which name it has? Mostly I rely on the DJ to tell me, or me looking it up, since I just seem to forget… Even now I wouldn’t know which tune I’m writing about.
However, I know it’s a very good song, so please enjoy:
Eric Prydz- Pjanoo
And I will promise to learn remembering the name with the tune!!! 🙂
Song of the day: Katrina & the Waves- Walking On Sunshine
This is probably my favourite summer hit all time. It always was since I know it, and it still is. And it’s also such a nice story: someone waiting for mail from the lover, because he’s coming! Love is beautiful, isn’t it? It was a big summer hit, and as far as I know they had one other hit, with a song they played during the Eurovision Song Contest: Love Shine A Light.
However, this was one of the biggest hits they had, and it’s not strange it was. Enjoy the real summer with

Summer Song of the Day #6: Madonna- La Isla Bonita
Mmm… do you remember the album by Madonna called True Blue? Yes? Really good, wasn’t it, huh?
It’s my personal favourite of her studio albums, and this song is one of my personal favourites by Madonna, too.
However, it could have been that not Madonna was here, but Michael Jackson. The song was firstly offered to him, but, according to Gaitsch, he refused taking the song for his Bad album.
Madonna got it after him, wrote the lyrics, and recorded it. The result? A very good Spanish summer sounding song which ended on number 6 in the Summer Song of the Day Top 20.
Not bad, is it?

Song of the day: Black Eyed Peas- Don’t Lie
Yes, this is a cd I bought last week… it has some hits on it!
One of my favourites is the song of the day, and it really is energetic.
I like it! Don’t Lie!
Song of the day: Mika- Relax (Take It Easy)
This is maybe one of the most beautiful covers in my album collection. Colourful and with a good eye for detail.
And if you look into the booklet, you will see that the drawings inside the booklet (which are beautiful, too) come back on the cover too.
As an example: Under the title at the right, you see a little girl. This girl has to do with the song Lollipop.
And there were some big hits on this album: Not only Lollipop, also Grace Kelly, Big Girl (You Are Beautiful), and the song of the day.
Which song might that be?
It’s one of my favourites, although the whole cd is good: Relax (Take It Easy)
Song of the day: Gary Moore- Still Got The Blues
An album which amazed me. I can’t say it otherwise. The first time I heard it, I thought like: Wow!
The part which amazed me a bit was the kind of mix between rock and blues.
And, like I have said the last days as well, my favourite song is the title track…
That’s also because of the great intro this song has. Oh yes,
Gary Moore with Still Got The Blues is the song of the day, and he deserves it!
Song of the day: Tina Turner- Private Dancer
It’s Sundaymorning. In our family, we used to play albums on Sundaymorning.
Already some years ago, I think when I was seven years old, I asked if I could choose an album to play.
I looked which album I would choose, and I pulled out an album. That’s the album which you can see above:
Tina Turner’s Private Dancer. Since then, I am Tina Turner fan, and particularly this album is my favourite.
There are a lot of good songs on this album, but my own favourite is the title track.
And therefore, the song of the day is Private Dancer from Tina Turner!
Song of the day: Anastacia- Left Outside Alone
Hi there,
Today some power! After Alanis Morissette, this is one of my favourite singers, too.
This woman really has a powerful voice, and I like this song so much!
Hope you like it, too:
Anastacia with Left Outside Alone.
Tomorrow two new songs, in a new month!
