In this year, the Eurovision Song Contest was won by… eh… who was it again? Something with meat… does not matter, the song was no good anyway. The second place was taken by the Dutch duo the Common Linnets (who broke up shortly after their victory), formed by Ilse DeLange and Waylon. The release of the single became a success in Europe, with a good number 9 in the UK! Enjoy

This is probably my favourite summer hit all time. It always was since I know it, and it still is. And it’s also such a nice story: someone waiting for mail from the lover, because he’s coming! Love is beautiful, isn’t it? It was a big summer hit, and as far as I know they had one other hit, with a song they played during the Eurovision Song Contest: Love Shine A Light.

It is a cover, made in the nineties (1995) by Nicki French. It is a cover of the woman who went to the Eurovision Song Contest for the UK this year, Bonnie Tyler.
