Song of the day: Pharrell Williams- Happy

This man doesn’t need an introduction anymore. Maybe he needed one last year, now he’s famous. I mean, he had the best year an artist can get. From almost nothing to everything. It started with cooperating with Robin Thicke (Blurred Lines), then he got to do a song with Daft Punk AND Nile Rodgers (Get Lucky), and then he had a major hit with the soundtrack of an animation movie. Song of the day: Chic- Le Freak

Man! Ever since the album Random Access Memories from Daft Punk was released, I heard the name Nile Rodgers everywhere. He played on a track on the album, produced the hits of Sister Sledge, he made music for David Bowie, he played on some other new hit, and of course he was in Chic! What a man can do in a life…

And what did I hear yesterday? The nominations for the Rock ‘n Roll Hall Of Fame are known: Nirvana, Yes, Kiss and…. Chic!
My preference? I really wouldn’t know. They are all great bands, but okay, Chic. I like disco…

Song of the day: Daft Punk- One More Time

Yesterday I was talking to a friend, who had some ideas for the Song of the day. Some of them were good, but will be put on in September, because now it’s time for the summer!
When we were talking we came to one of the strangest electronic music duo’s of now. There are a lot of DJ’s active who make hits, but those two are a little bit more weird than the rest.
I mean: normal DJ’s don’t wear helmets while performing… we actually didn’t see them without, until earlier this month… just Google!
Their music reminds me mostly of Kraftwerk, the finders of this genre, as I believe… they started in the 1970s, so that is very early!
Later, I will make an article dedicated to Kraftwerk, but firstly, let’s enjoy the sound of Daft Punk’s One More Time!
