Song of the day: Coldplay featuring Avicii- A Sky Full Of Stars

Coldplay-A-Sky-Full-of-Stars-2014-Official

2014 saw the new album of Coldplay being released. Lots of critics on the album, too. The whole thing was full of heart-broke songs, and that was not good. This song, though, doesn’t sound like it. The sound was due to the producer, namely Avicii. He would make sure Coldplay could score their first number 1 hit on the dance chart. Enjoy

Song of the day: Coldplay- Viva La Vida

viva-la-vida-or-death-and-all-his-friends

Hey! That’s a newer album than yesterday! It’s Coldplay’s Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends!
But why? That’s a nice story.

I was working on a project for history last week, and you might know the feeling that you have done a lot already, but it isn’t finished.
You have had it for today, and because I was working with my historybook next to me, I started to just flip some pages, and watch the pictures in the book. And then I saw, in the paragraph about the French revolution, a picture which was familiar to me. Not because of the French Revolution, no, because of Coldplay. Now I had lost my concentration completely, and started to search for this picture! The picture, or painting, was painted by Eugène Delacroix and is called Liberty Leading The People.

Well, the cover is interesting, but the music is even better (that’s because I have more with music than with art). What a hits on this album!
Life in Technicolor, Lost!, Violet Hill, and even more hits. But what’s the song of the day? A bit too predictable?

Yes, the title track: Viva La Vida!

Tomorrow two posts on music. Not only the song of the day, but I need your help too!

Song of the day: Coldplay- Peter Allen- I Go To Rio

Hi there,

Here’s the answer which you want to have! By which artist was Coldplay inspired in making the melody of Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall?
The song is wellknown, and if you listen closely, you will hear the melody!

It’s Peter Allen with I Go To Rio!

Tomorrow another song, and please vote for the Song Of The Day Top 50!

Song of the day: Goo Goo Dolls- Rebel Beat / Robin Thicke feat. T.I. & Pharrell- Blurred Lines

Hi there,

Today TWO new songs!

Firstly, a cool new track from the Goo Goo Dolls.
Of course you know them from the hit Iris, but after that, it was very quiet around them in the Netherlands.
In America, they had some other hits. However, they are back!
Their new single is called Rebel Beat and I love this song!

The second song is also good, and it’s made by someone who we know already. Do you remember When I Get You Alone? This is totally different, but the first experience with the song was a good one, so I suggest it as a possible hit:
Robin Thicke with Blurred Lines (feat. T.I. & Pharrell)

Tomorrow the answer to the small question about Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall from yesterday.

And please VOTE for the Song Of The Day Top 50!

Song of the day: The Sacados- Ritmo De La Noche

Hi there,

The new song of the day is waiting for you!
And you know a bit of the melody already, if you know Coldplay’s Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall.
The people who knew this song, said when they heard Every Teardrop is a waterfall: We know this song!

It’s based on the melody from The Sacados with Ritmo De La Noche!

But Coldplay said: We don’t know this song! But we admit that we had some inspiration…

And that song is the song of saturday!

Please vote for the song of the day top 50, since I don’t have enough votes!

Song(s) of the day: Ilse DeLange- We Are One / Coldplay- Up In Flames

Hi there,

Today there are two new songs for you!

The first song which I think is very nice, is a song of a Dutch artist.
She is called Ilse DeLange, and she has made a lot of hits already. Her new single was for her father, but he died soon after releasing the single.
This gives the song an extra load.
The song is called We Are One.

The second song of this day is made by Coldplay. For the song, they used a drummachine.
It sounds good, but I do not entirely agree with the use from this machine. I like Coldplay, because they use real instruments!
But, okay, the song is very good. My top-tip from this week is Up In Flames.

That were my first tips for the new month!

Song of the day: Di-Rect – Still Life

Hello everyone,

Here’s the new song of the day.
The song of today is made by a Dutch band, who are helped by Coldplay to get some fame in other countries.
It’s Di-Rect, with Still Life.

The video is quite special, since it’s a stop motion video with over 3000 photographs!
In total, the video took over 32 hours of making photographs, acting and posing.

And the video is beautiful! It’s about a woman, whose senses are playing a big role.

I wish you a lot of fun with it!
