FlinterFile: Sigala- Easy Love

In 2015, the DJ Bruce Fielder released his debut single under the name of Sigala. He wrote the song after drinken some beers on Sunday. He took a part of the song ABC by the Jacksons, put a house beat under it and then played it to Tito Jackson… who absolutely loved it. Of course this is no guarantee for having a hit, but he debuted on number 1 in the UK, higher than the original by the Jacksons, who made it to number 8. Enjoy

Song of the day: ABC- The Look Of Love

In 1982, ABC had their biggest hit in the UK. The song is split in four parts, with part one the best known (the album version), the second the instrumental version, the third part a remix and the fourth part an acoustic version. It was very popular in the discos, making it a number 1 hit in the US disco charts. In Canada it also was number 1, and in the UK it was a number 4 hit. Enjoy

Song of the day: ABC- When Smokey Sings

Yes, this is a song about a singer, called Smokey Robinson. When I read this on Wikipedia, I thought: and who was that? Never heard of the man… but it turned out to be an American R&B singer. He had some hits on the Motown label, but none of the songs were familiar to me. So I’m going to listen to his hits, see if anything is worth a song of the day. Until then, you have to do it with the hit by ABC. Enjoy:
