FlinterFile: The Lemon Pipers- Green Tambourine

The Lemon Pipers had their biggest hit in 1967.The song was written by Shelley Pinz and Paul Leka, who were inspired by a street musician, who was playing his tambourine in exchange for money in front of a bank, across of the Brill Building, where they worked. This Brill building was a hit factory, where many hits were written. These lyrics ended up with the Lemon Pipers, who transformed in a sort of psychedelic song, reaching number 7 in the UK and number 1 in the US in 1968. Enjoy
