FlinterFile: Depeche Mode- Everything Counts
In 1983, Depeche Mode was a famous name.A few years earlier, they had released the song Just Can’t Get Enough, one of their biggest hits, and now they wanted to experiment a little more. The lyrics changed to a more political tone, about greed and grabbing hands, and also musically it got more experimental, most notably with the samples used in the song. They wanted to know what the public still would accept, how far they could go. The chart positions of this song showed the public still bought the song: it charted at number 17 in the Hot Dance chart in the US and number 6 in the UK. Enjoy
