FlinterFile: John Fred & His Playboy Bunny Band- Judy In Disguise (With Glasses)
In 1967, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds was a hit for the Beatles.John Fred wrote a parody of this song in 1968. It would be his only big hit, though he had some other serious songs, which were more local hits. He had gotten the idea touring, and in Florida he had seen a woman with sunglasses, who was pretty. One of the band members were flirting, but as she took off her sunglasses, this was over… He wrote the text watching TV, taking lines from commercials. Eventually even John Lennon heard it and was fan; he even suggested writing a parody of this song and call it Froggy In A Pond With Spectacles. This song was a number 3 hit in the UK and reached number 1 in the US. Enjoy
