Tony Joe White released this song in 1971.He had a big hit in 1969, with Polk Salad Annie, but this turned out to be his biggest hit. The singles that followed were minor hits, but in 1971, his singles failed to chart. This song wasn’t on an album, but only released as a single. However, it still is a great song. Enjoy
