After his big hit Israelites, Desmond Dekker released a new hit.This song was recorded in Jamaica, with the brass band later added. The title is Jamaican and means ‘that’s why/the reason’. In the song, it has a slightly different meaning, as it was also used on schoolyards in the sense ‘that’s what you get’, which is what it means here, when someone goes to far in love. The song was released in 1969 and was a number 7 hit in the UK. Enjoy
