Song of the day: Led Zeppelin- Stairway To Heaven
At the start of the seventies, Led Zeppelin were a popular band. They played the song Dazed And Confused a lot in their concerts, as a sort of centerpiece. However, they wanted something new for that. Robert Plant wrote the lyrics in a few moments, when he was in a bad mood. As he saw what he wrote, he was surprised. Jimmy Page thought it was great and from then, Plant has written all the lyrics for the Led Zeppelin songs. Jimmy Page wrote the music and they recorded in a mobile studio from the Rolling Stones. The song has become a classic, but was never released on single and so never originally charted in the year the album was released, 1971. In 2007, as the music of Led Zeppelin became available on iTunes, the song was bought a lot and so it managed to chart on number 37 in the UK. The band Spirit later accused Led Zeppelin from plagiarism, claiming the opening of Stairway to Heaven was theirs. They lost the case. Enjoy
