Song of the day: John Lennon- Imagine
John Lennon made a song with a political melody and a great melody. He got the idea from a book by Yoko Ono, which had lines like ‘Imagine you’re a cloud’ in it. With this idea, he wrote a song in which he wants us to imagine a world which doesn’t have the things that divide the world. The drums on the song were played by Ringo Starr. The song was recorded in 1971, but first issued as single in the UK in 1975. The song then was number 6. After the death of John Lennon in 1980 the song was re-released and became a number 1 hit. In the US, it was number 3. Enjoy
