FlinterFile: ABBA- Dancing Queen
Some songs don’t need an introduction anymore, and I think this is one of them. From the start, everyone knew this would be a hit. The inspiration for the song came from the song Rock Your Baby (George McCrae) and the drums of the album Gumbo by Dr. John. That together was put together to a song which was first named Boogaloo. Their manager thought the title Dancing Queen was better. And so they started working on the song. When Benny played the music of the song, Frida cried because it was so good. And that was right: a year after the recording of the song, it was released as a single in 1976, together with the album. It was number 1 in both the US and UK, and in many other countries. And even Queen Elisabeth likes to dance to this song (she is the queen, so she has the right!). Enjoy
