FlinterFile: Henk en Henk- Sinterklaas, Wie Kent Hem Niet?

Around the end of November, the hearts of the Dutch children start beating harder: Sinterklaas is coming to celebrate his birthday on the 5th of December!And with celebrating, we actually mean he gives the nice kids presents. Of course you have to sing songs for him. And just that is what Henk Temming and Henk Westbroek took up with their song: the two members of Het Goede Doel thought we could use a new song for Sinterklaas, as the other songs were a bit oldfashioned. And so they wrote a rock song about a man who writes Sinterklaas, but doesn’t get an answer. And as he visits Sinterklaas and Zwarte Piet (his helper), he starts to doubt if they are real… But of course they exist, he concludes, because who doesn’t know Sinterklaas? It was a hit in the Netherlands, reaching number 24. Enjoy
