FlinterFile: The Carpenters- Yesterday Once More

Due to a rock ‘n roll revival concert in 1971 and some other events, many older hits were popular again in 1973.The Carpenters liked this and thought it would be nice to record a medley of old songs for their new album Now & Then. This medley would fill the B-side of their album and would be opened by a song they had written themselves- Yesterday Once More, which is about hearing the old songs on the radio again. In the medley, Tony Peluso, their guitarist, plays the role of radio DJ. He would do so again on the song Calling Occupants. The song was a big success, making it to number 2 in both the US and the UK. Enjoy
