FlinterFile: Dolly Parton- You Are

Dolly Parton made a transition from country music to pop music in 1977.The album New Harvest… First Gathering was self produced, but didn’t achieve the much hoped for success. On the album, she covered the song Higher And Higher by Jackie Wilson and also My Girl by the Temptations, as the song My Girl. Most famous from the album was the song Applejack. The song You Are was only released as a single in the Netherlands in 1983, when the compilation album The Love Album was released. It became a number 1 hit. Enjoy
