The disco sound of the Les Humphries Singers was quite popular in the early seventies.After their hit Mexico, they released this song. It was based on the song Barbara Ann by the Beach Boys, they changed Barbara Ann in Mama Loo. The lyrics didn’t tell much, but the atmosphere of the song stayed the same. The song was a hit in 1973, reaching number 11 in the Netherlands and number 1 in Germany. Enjoy
