FlinterFile: Queen- We Will Rock You
Queen released a new stadium anthem in 1977.The idea came from Brian May, who went to a football match in Liverpool and asked himself after the match what they could do to involve the crowd at concerts. He came up with three things: clapping their hands, stamping their feet and of course sing. These elements combined made up We Will Rock You, which was recorded in the Wessex Studios. This was an old church, which gave the song its unique sound: no drums were used, everybody was just stamping their feet! It was a number 4 hit in the US, but was never released in the UK. Enjoy
