FlinterFile: Lou Reed- Satellite Of Love

Lou Reed wrote this song already in 1970.He then recorded a version with his band the Velvet Underground. He was inspired by the race for space and therefore wrote a song about a satellite going up, combined with the feeling of jealousy. Two years later, when he was working on his album Transformer, he took the song, changed the lyrics and the music and re-recorded it. That version was produced by David Bowie, who also sang backing vocals and Mike Ronson, who also played the piano. The song was number 51 in the UK (in 2004 a new version made number 10). Enjoy
