FlinterFile: The Temptations- It’s Summer

The song It’s Summer was released twice. The first time it was the B-side of the song Ball Of Confusion, which was released in 1970. On that version, the five members of the Temptations can be heard, with Melvin Franklin doing the spoken word part. This was the hit version (or better said: the A-side was a big hit) with a number 3 in the US and a number 7 in the UK. The re-recorded version, that was released two years later and only featured four of the Temptations, did less well. It scored a number 51 spot in the US and didn’t chart in UK. Enjoy
