FlinterFile: Boudewijn de Groot- Prikkebeen

Boudewijn de Groot had a big hit with the song Prikkebeen in the year 1968.He recorded the song with Elly Nieman and the text was written by Lennaert Nijgh, a famous Dutch songwriter. He was inspired by the comic Monsieur Vieuxbois, one of the first comic books ever published. In Dutch, this comic is called Meester Prikkebeen. In the song, this man is quite strange and mysterious, standing in the snow with his cat, but no-one really knows him. As the new year comes, he has disappeared, leaving his cat behind. It was a number 9 hit for him in the Netherlands. Enjoy
