FlinterFile: Drs. P- Dodenrit
In 1974, Drs. P (the alias of Heinz Polzer) released his most famous song. The epic song tells the story of a family that rides to Omsk, a Russian city. They sing together, but then a problem appears – a pack of wolves comes after them. One by one they have to give their children – Sonja, Igor and Natasja – to the wolves. After that, the wife of the singer has to go and when Omsk is in sight, the singer makes jumps and falls. After that, the song goes on with rhymes that have nothing to do with the song. The song is an excellent example about how Drs. P played with the Dutch language. In the Netherlands, it was a number 26 hit. Enjoy
