FlinterFile: Elvis Presley- Viva Las Vegas
Next to having a big career in music, Elvis also was a movie star. He starred in 31 movies, of which Viva Las Vegas was the most successful. In the movie, Elvis plays someone who has a debt to pay. In a talent show, he sings the song Viva Las Vegas. The song captures everything Las Vegas is: neon lights, pretty women, roulette and other gambling games. The lead guitar was played by Billy Strange. Some said it was the late Glen Campbell, but he didn’t – he played on the B-side, What’d I Say, another song featured in the movie. The song was number 29 in the US, number 15 in the UK. Enjoy
