David Lee Roth released his first solo single in 1984.He was the singer of Van Halen and still was when he released his solo EP Crazy from the Heat. On that EP, he covered the Beach Boys song California Girls. The background vocals in the song were sung by Carl Wilson, one of the members of the Beach Boys, and Christopher Cross. The music video featured David Lee Roth with many girls in bikini. The song was number 68 in the UK and number 3 in the US, just like the original. Enjoy
