FlinterFile: Wings- London Town
Paul McCartney had quite a challenge when he started recording the new album London Town in 1978. The last album had been a big success, but now half the band went away and his wife got pregnant. Luckily, he had already got the title song almost finished on the tour they had done. He wrote the song with Denny Laine, who also had been a member of the Moody Blues. The song is at times similar to the Beatles songs, but still quite adventurous. It was number 39 in the US and number 60 in the UK. Not their biggest hit (after Silly Love Songs being number 1), but certainly one of their best. Enjoy
