FlinterFile: Ultravox- Vienna
Ultravox released this big hit in 1982.It started as a rhythm with a drum machine, which was played to the band by the drummer, Warren Cann. After that, the song came together quickly and in a few hours, the song Vienna was a fact. As the band saw it as the best song on the album, they made it title track and the single – something which the label didn’t see happening, as it is quite long and not a typical hit. However, it was a number 2 hit in the UK, as Joe Dolce held the number 1 spot with his hit Shaddap You Face, which annoyed the singer, Midge Ure. Enjoy
