Boney M. released a song about Belfast in 1977.The song was written by Drafi Deutscher and was intended to be a solo single for Marcia Barrett, who sings the lead vocals on the Boney M. song as well. However, as Boney M. needed some songs for the album, this was recorded, as it was a hit when played live. For the German public, a German version by Gilla was around four months earlier than Boney M’s version. In the US, it was never released, due to the political situation. In the UK, it was a number 8 hit and in several other countries it was number 1! Enjoy
