Song of the day: Toto- Hold The Line
The very first single from Toto was released in 1978.The group was formed out of six studio musicians, who prooved that they could have hits themselves too. They already played on songs from Aretha Franklin, Barbara Streisand and Boz Scaggs, but with this song they established their fame. The song came into existance because David Paiche, the lead singer, was called by three girl friends at the same time, causing him to switch the three lines and ‘juggle’ with his girl friends. In the song, the question also is: what is love actually? This goes through the process of elimination, by saying ‘it’s not…’ . The song was a number 14 hit in the UK and hit number 5 on the US charts. Enjoy
