FlinterFile: The Jackson 5- ABC
The Jackson 5 released their second number 1 hit in 1970.Their first was I Want You Back. This song was written by a couple of writers who were better known as the Corporation. One of the writers was Freddie Perren, a former school teacher. In the break of the song, only the drums stay and some yelling can be heard: this was sampled from the song Cissy Strut by The Meters. The chorus of their first hit was the music for this song, kind of recycling. However, that didn’t stop people from buying the song: it was number 8 in the UK and number 1 in the US, beating Let It Be from the Beatles. Enjoy
