The Impressions were a soul group who released their album This Is My Country in 1968.The most famous member of the band was Curtis Mayfield, who wrote most of the album, produced it and released it on his own label. Although some songs on the album were more political, this song was a soul love song. It would be a number 22 hit in the US pop chart, number 3 in the R&B chart. Enjoy
