At Motown, they sometimes lose recordings. Such was the case with this and eight other Michael Jackson songs, which were recorded in 1973. They found them again in 1984 and put them together on an album, Farewell My Summer Love. Parts of the music were recorded new, to update the songs to the eighties. Michael Jackson had released Thriller two years before and so the songs from the album came as a sort of follow-up. The title track was number 38 in the US and number 7 in the UK. Enjoy
