John Dummer started a band in 1967, which we would now see as a kind of supergroup.Members of the band have been Bob Hall and John O’Leary from Savoy Brown and Tony McPhee of the Groundhogs. By the time they had made two albums, many changes in personell had been made. One of the important changes was that Nick Pickett, a violinist, joined the band. Actually they thought of dissolving the band after the third album, but when the song Nine By Nine suddenly became a number 1 hit in France in 1971, they made another album and went on tour again.
