FlinterFile: 5000 Volts- I’m On Fire
In the disco era, the band 5000 Volts was very successfull. The singer of the band was Tina Charles, who also had a solo hit with I Love To Love (But My Baby Loves To Dance). However, for this song she was not credited, due to problems with her contract. When the band was on Top of the Pops, she wasn’t the singer: Luan Peters did this, who later became known as an Australian tourist in Fawlty Towers. The song was a big hit, number 26 in the US, number 4 in the UK and number 1 in Germany, where it actually was the group Airbus who scored the hit (same song, other band name. Why? No idea). Enjoy
