The harmony of Wilson Phillips sold well in 1990. The group consisted of two daughters of Brian Wilson (the Beach Boys) and one daughter of John and Michelle Phillips (the Mama’s & the Papa’s). As a follow-up single of their debut song Hold On (a number 1 hit) the song Release Me was released. The song is a love song, describing a woman who wants to get over her ex, who is making it difficult for her. It was a number 1 hit in the US for two weeks, and made it to number 36 in the UK. Enjoy
