FlinterFile: The Young Rascals- A Girl Like You
The Young Rascals released their last album in 1967, as they went on as the Rascals after this album. The album, Groovin’, already showed signs of the psychedelic music they would later make. Off the album, eight songs were released on single (either A or B-sides). A Girl Like You was one of the singles and would later be recorded by Lulu (as A Boy Like You) and John Travolta. The original had the effect of a big band sound, which was created by Arif Mardin, who later would produce the disco sound of the Bee Gees. This song made a number 10 hit in the US. Enjoy
