FlinterFile: Bob Dylan- Baby Stop Crying

Bob Dylan released his album Street Legal in 1978.

The song Baby Stop Crying is about a man who wants to comfort a woman, though he asks for a pistol in the first line. The lyrics probably are inspired by Robert Johnson, a blues musician. He had a song called Stop Breaking Down, which is quite similar in the text. Dylan only played the song live in his big band tour in 1978, after that he has never played it live anymore. It didn’t chart in the US, but was a hit in the UK, where it hit number 13. Enjoy
