This song was written in 1964 by the Motown songwriters Holland-Dozier-Holland.Brian Holland had seen the Four Tops in a club and invited them to Motown to record the song. It was their first hit, after 11 years with touring and recordings for small record labels. For them it was a number 11 hit in the US. In 1967, Johnny Rivers recorded the song and had a bigger hit with it: number 3 in the US. Enjoy
