FlinterFile: Heart- Barracuda

Heart had some problems with their record label in 1977, and as always, these problems can become big hits. This song was from their first album on CBS, the label they changed to. Their old label, Mushroom Records, had published an ad which implied the two singers had an affair – which wasn’t the case, as they were sisters. As a promoter asked Ann how her ‘lover’ was and she came to know he was talking about her sister instead of her boyfriend at the time, she became angry and wrote the song. It would be a number 11 hit in the US. Enjoy
