FlinterFile: David Soul- Don’t Give Up On Us
David Soul was a singer, but he wasn’t very successful in the early seventies. Because the success didn’t come, he became an actor, playing Hutch in Starsky & Hutch. When he had done the first series, he recorded another album. However, there was no real single on the album, so Tony Macaulay was brought in with some songs. He had already written songs like Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes), and had written the song Don’t Give Up On Us, which was recorded by David Soul. The song became a number 1 hit in both the UK and the US in 1976. Enjoy
