FlinterFile: Bob Dylan- I Want You

In 1966, Bob Dylan had a hit with a song from his album Blonde On Blonde. It was the last song to be recorded, which happened in the morning hours of the tenth of March. The song was composed in a way that music and text worked together to get the message across. The song falls apart in two parts: a chorus which is direct (I want you) and a parade of people in the rest of the song, like the Queen of Spades and a guilty undertaker. The dancing girl with his Chinese suit has been understood as a reference to the girlfriend of Brian Jones from the Rolling Stones, with the line “time was on his side” as a reference to Time Is On My Side. The song made number 20 in the US. Enjoy

  1. Tangled Up In Music (by Ovidiu Boar)

Unusually catchy song for Dylan. Love it.
