FlinterFile: Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell- Ain’t No Mountain High Enough
In 1967, Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell hit the charts. The song, written by Ashford & Simpson, was already completely finished when the studio sessions began. The music and lyrics were written out, the only thing that needed to be done was to record it. The rhythm track was done first, than the horns, than Tammi Terrell and finally Marvin Gaye. All the separate pieces were put together at the end, which meant the musicians didn’t know the complete track before it came on the radio. It was a number 19 hit in the US. Enjoy
