FlinterFile: Cornershop- Brimful Of Asha (Norman Cook Remix)
In 1997, Norman Cook (also known as Fatboy Slim) remixed a song by the band Cornershop. They had released it, but it was only a minor hit (number 60 in the UK).The song is about Asha Bhosle, an Indian singer whose music was often used in Bollywood movies. She probably sang over 12 000 songs, which often were about hope, as her name (Asha) means. The 45 in the song also refers to her singles, which were played on 45 rpm. The remix was a bigger hit than the original, reaching number 1 in the UK. Enjoy
