In 1941, Glenn Miller released a song which was featured in the movie Sun Valley Serenade. The song was inspired by the Cincinnati Southern Railway, a wood-burning steam locomotive. It was written by Mack Gordon and Harry Warren, aboard another train. In the song, they describe the journey from Pennsylvania to Chattanooga. The song made it to the first gold record ever, as it reached 1.2 million sales! Not surprisingly, it reached number 1 in the US for several weeks. Enjoy
